Yoga for Mums

Do you feel stressed out? Tired all the time? Constantly rushing around? Sore back, aches and pains, and a weak core?

I have designed a new Yoga class specifically for mums to improve mental and physical health.

The classes are built around addressing the real issues that mums have. Would you like to:

  • De-stress
  • Reduce anxiety
  • Increase energy and vitality
  • Stretch out tight muscles
  • Strengthen weak areas
  • Calm your mind
  • Improve sleep quality

Whether you are a new mum or have older children, Yoga for Mums can help!

Yoga for Mums is more than a class. Here’s what you get:

  • One live class delivered online every Wednesday from 8.45-9.45pm. I chose this time firstly so the kids are in bed, and secondly so you can use the relaxation and meditation to get you ready for bedtime. At least you’ll get one good sleep every week!
  • Access to a series of on-demand videos:
    1. full Yoga classes
    2. short Yoga flows which you can do anytime
    3. short stretching routines
    4. core training ideas
    5. bedtime relaxation scripts
  • A private Facebook group where you can ask questions, exchange ideas and discuss interesting topics, for example diet.

What does a class look like?

We start with a very gentle warm up. Then we work through a series of simple flexibility and mobility postures to target your hips, low back, shoulders, core and hamstrings. We finish with what my regular Yogaclass members say is the most enjoyable bit, the relaxation and meditation! By the end, you’ll find your body is relaxed and your mind is calm. The perfect bedtime routine!

The Zoom yoga I have done with Jenni has been amazing. It is really easy to follow, with no judgement, just guidance. I’ve always dabbled in yoga, but this is the first time I have actually felt motivated to commit to a weekly session. The ladies in my group are so lovely and friendly. If you have ever fancied yoga but don’t know where to start, or if you just want to start listening to your body a little more, I highly recommend Jenni’s sessions 🙂 Thank you Jenni!

I am a mum to a 13-year old, a 2-year old and a 1 year old. I have been missing yoga since I had the 2 little ones, I just didn’t have the time during the day to attend classes and then we moved away from the area. When I saw the ‘yoga for mums’ course advertised I jumped at the chance to join in. My husband often works away so the time of the live weekly class is great for me as the wee ones are (usually) sound asleep by then and I can do the on-demand sessions whenever I get the chance. Jenni is a great instructor giving different options to suit your ability and the relaxation part of the class is amazing, especially in my own home with my blanket and I can go straight to bed afterwards. It’s so nice to be able to do something for myself without leaving the house or worrying about babysitters.

I started Jenni’s Yoga for Mums course and liked it so much I signed up for the second course. I think it’s great value, I do it at home once everything is done in the evening. It’s a perfect time at 20:45, if you miss a session it’s all recorded, and you can access it easily whenever suits. There’s also loads of other pre-recorded stuff you can access whenever. I like the stretching, it’s definitely improving my flexibility. I feel better each time I attend the class. The meditation at the end is a real treat and definitely helps me sleep better.

My children are now a lot older, and so am I! I have really benefited from the Yoga for Mums classes. I have a moderate scoliosis and have a curve at the base of my spine which gives me balance and joint flexibility issues. Jenni’s classes are brilliant for me. She gives different levels of difficulty with each pose or flow so I can always succeed at my own level. When I feel ready to challenge myself, I can progress to the next level. Because of Jenni’s encouragement I have been able to hold poses for longer than I would manage on my own. My flexibility is improving, and I am able to cope with my balance issues more effectively. I highly recommend the Yoga for Mums classes – for me they are ideal.

Are sore muscles a good sign?
